The phytoestrogen components of soy may interfere with the drug tamoxifen,
used in breast cancer treatment for men and women, and the drug raloxifene, used
to prevent and treat osteoporosis. The minerals zinc and iron may also interfere
with the absorption of soy and could theoretically lower soy levels in the body.
Further research is needed. |
